Local churches can help open the Gospel to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities—and walk with them as they grow in Christ.
This is a prepared place for the Gospel—and a practical way for churches to live out the Great Commission together.
People with intellectual and developmental disabilities are often among the most overlooked in traditional church ministry. Yet their greatest need is the same as ours: to hear the Gospel, know Christ, grow in His Word, and belong to His Church.
Jesus calls His Church to make disciples. Disability does not place anyone outside that calling. With accessible Bible teaching, worship, friendship, and patient discipleship, adults with IDD can know biblical truth and grow in their relationship with Christ.
In Luke 14:21–23, Jesus specifically draws attention to people who are often overlooked and left outside. Serving the disability community gives the local Church a beautiful opportunity to live out Christ's invitation—not simply by welcoming people to an event, but by bringing them into genuine Christian community.
Rather than waiting for adults with disabilities and their families to find their way into churches that may not be equipped for them, You're Invited Church goes where this community already gathers. TERI Campus of Life provides an extraordinary setting for accessible worship, biblical teaching, relationships, and outreach.
You're Invited gives local churches a practical way to participate through teaching, volunteering, prayer, and financial support. Together, we can help remove barriers to the Gospel and build a Christ-centered community where adults with IDD are not simply served—they are known, discipled, valued, and encouraged to use their God-given gifts.
